This project draws heavily on the phenomenon of toxic algae blooms. Focusing on Colour and Texture in the crafting, and on the natural qualities of the materials used, these pieces convey the incredibly adaptive nature and beauty of these algae blooms, while also exploring their toxic, choking nature.

The first two pieces are wearable art pieces shown below, created with support from Canada Council for the Arts. Further pieces forthcoming.
